THE BIBLICAL DEACON

Gives convincing evidence of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
(Matthew 5:16)

Daily seeks to grow spiritually.
(Romans 12:1 – 2)

Believes in and relies on the power of the Holy Spirit.
(Ephesians 5:18 – 20)

Appreciates and explores anew opportunities to expand the church’s ministry.
(Acts 11:22 – 26)

Studies his Bible constantly and consistently implements its directives.
(II Timothy 2:15)

Loves his family and leads them in Christian devotion and commitment.
(Ephesians 5:25 – 27; 6:4)

Actively involves himself in fulfilling the Great Commission by witnessing to the saving power of Christ in the community, at home and on the job.
(I Peter 3:15 – 16)

Continually gives of self and substance.
(II Corinthians 8:1 – 6)

Lovingly supports pastoral leadership and promotes harmony in the church.
(I Timothy 5:17; Philippians 3:15 – 16)

Willingly helps in the church wherever and whenever possible.
(Ephesians 5:15 – 17)
Is a man of prayer both privately and publicly and participates in regularly scheduled church worship and prayer services.
(I Thessalonians 5:17 – 18; Hebrews 10:23 – 25)

Recognizes that we are in a spiritual battle and allows himself to be equipped by God to be battle ready
(Ephesians 6:10 – 17)

The Deacon Ministry will meet on the fourth Saturday of each month at 4:00 PM.
